#814 Sand between your toes

What is your favorite part about going to the beach? Is it the sunshine and warm water? The people watching? For me, it’s the sand between my toes.

That’s a feeling that you can’t get anywhere else but the beach and it is just a gentle reminder to slow down and relax. Take some time to enjoy the beach and feel the sand as it washes over your feet and between your toes and you will smile for sure.

I don’t know what it is, but wet or dry, sand between my toes always makes me smile. There might be some science behind it where our bodies send stress relieving signals to our brains, or maybe it’s reflexology and the microbeads of sand working on our nerve endings, but it makes me smiles. I think the sand is actually a good exfoliant but I am not sure, I just like the feeling of it.

Many people who go to the beach feel the same way. It’s almost impossible not to smile when you are at the beach and it must be the sand that is doing it. From the first moment you step foot on the beach and feel it between your toes, you know a smile will appear.

That smile will last all day and long after you have left the beach because that sand will still be there on the drive home and possibly get tracked into your house if you don’t shake off your sandals well enough.

Many of us dream of living on the beach and feeling that sand between our toes feeling each and every day but I often wonder if the thrill will wear off that way. For me, I don’t think it ever could as I will always love the feeling of sand between my toes and it will always bring a smile to my face.

    I’am interested to read about your story. Going and enjoying the beach is one of my favourite dream also. I’m from Indonesia, and here we have some beautiful beaches, especially in Bali.

    Talking about your expericence when you went to the beach, I think it will always make you smile when you remember that you brought the sand after left the beach. Your shoes might be full with sand and I think you felt uncomfortable. Hehe it’s a very funny experience. Hope you will tell other funny and interesting experience again. Nice post…

  3. I love the beach, and still love the feel of sand between my toes. I love cool sand on a warm day. I love the feel of sinking into the sand as the waves wash around my ankles. The part I don’t like? Sand in the bed! But I think there’s wonderful negative ions created by the rolling surf that calms the soul and lets us sleep like babies.
